Great place for a stopover!
Excellent location for a one-night stopover and very easy to access from the motorway, plus free parking right outside! Nice room, comfy bed and nice staff, and easy to walk around the town and get to shops and restaurants.

What was the highlight of Hotel Nacional La Jonquera
Very Good
La Jonquera is a place we had to stay in (we were passing through walking the GR11) rather than one we chose to stay in. The hotel overlooks the motorway and railway line and is one of a row of characterless buildings. But it was clean and perfectly pleasant. It is adjacent (in the same building) to both a big restaurant and a huge supermarket.

Clean, welcoming hotel. Good staff, excellent food in restaurants.
Clean, easy access from drive from south Spain, parking convenient. Excellent, welcoming staff, allow dogs, even in restaurant.
The area surrounding hotel felt a little run down and not ideal for waking the dog.
